High quality unique electrical fractal imaging by artists Joey and Beth.
Our Process: Lichtenberg fractal burning is the most popular wood art we do. We saturate a piece of birch plywood with an electrolyte solution. We then attach a positive and a negative lead directly to the plywood and turn on the power. What happens next is the burn; it creates a unique, abstract fractal pattern of unparalleled finesse and pure beauty. These branching patterns have been described to us as many things including but not limited to: Zen patterns, bonsai trees, fractal patterns, lightning and tree branches or roots. We then clean the burn scar out with a wire brush and do a light sanding with 400 grit sandpaper. The next step is where we stand alone. We paint each piece with watercolor or acrylic paint then finish with 3 to 4 coats of high gloss poly. (if you like we also leave natural). This unique process is guaranteed to give the buyer a one of a kind, never to be duplicated piece of artwork, that will undoubtedly be a conversation starter!
We frame all our artwork and provide hardware. We provide the hardware, but do not attach it, so the buyer can decide which way the image needs to hang in their space.
We are happy to create custom art as well. We can customize size, shape, type of wood, and color. Please call, text or email and we will begin collaboration immediately!
